An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Product Delivery Manager to join the Manufacturing IT Team in Derby.
This is a Leadership and Delivery Role reporting to the Manufacturing Solutions VP in the Enterprise Solutions Team.

In the role of Product Delivery Manager Manufacturing Execution System you will be accountable for the Leadership Development and Performance of the Manufacturing Delivery Team within the relevant product stream. You will define and deliver product roadmaps goals and visions in line with the Digital/IT strategy whilst ensuring that the business requirements and benefits are fully understood.
What you will be doing:
As the Product Delivery Manager you will be the accountable for ensuring that your portfolio is delivering within plan your customers are being advised and guided by your SMEs / Architect in to appropriate product choices.
- You will be responsible for the development and prioritisation of the delivery plan and backlog in collaboration with the Process Owners Stakeholders (centrally and within the business) SMEs Architects and Eco-System Partners.
- Ensure maximum value is delivered by the product to the businesses and ensuring communication of the benefit whilst retaining product integrity.
- Ensue that relationships and strong levels of engagement are developed and maintained between operational facilities and Digital & IT.
- Ensure effective collaboration facilitating translating and alignment of efforts to allow efficient delivery of manufacturing products and prioritisation of future improvements.
- You will be engaged in conversations and activities where you will be the informed specialist and advisor in the room.
- You will be accountable for ensuring the technical solution design is in keeping with the Digital & IT strategy whilst retaining product integrity.
- You will provide governance to deliverables and will ensure that your team are appropriately engaged in project oversight and delivery where necessary.
- You will make priority calls where conflicts occur and communicate to all parties as appropriate.
- You will be working across teams collaboratively to ensure that the impact of decisions plans are understood and that the wider programs remain aligned.
- You will act as the integrator between D&IT and the businesses to ensure requirements are captured engagement and relationships are formed.
- You will develop manage and oversee 3rd party Managed Service Providers (MSPs) / Systems Integrators (SIs) and Eco-System Partners.
- You will be accountable for the ongoing development of the team to ensure there is the right level of capability to support business decision making the architecting of future solutions and the oversight of delivery partners against scope cost and quality.
Preferred requirements:
- The role favours individuals with extensive years experience working with both Manufacturing solutions and Vendors within Manufacturing Assembly and/or Dis-Assembly environments.
- Understanding of the scope of application of products and process within Manufacturing & Assembly/Dis-Assembly environments across Manufacturing Execution systems and/or Shop Floor Quality Systems.
- It is not necessary to be a technical expert but deep understanding of manufacturing applications and their usage in operational environments is necessary.
- You will be an experienced delivery lead with a track record of complex delivery in a fluid dynamic environment. You will be able to think widely rather than in narrow channels.
- You will have experience and knowledge of project and portfolio delivery including finance and budget management. You will be able to demonstrate your application of the tools process and capability in delivering results.
- You will have experience of leading people growing capability and delivering high performance.
- You will recognise the power of collaboration and will be good at forging relationships with your peer group key stakeholders including businesses and be able to translate business needs into requirements.
- You will be performance focussed and always striving to do better with an ability to positively influence and drive cultural change.
- An understanding of Agile delivery in a technical environment would be an advantage including backlog refinement and sprint planning and delivery.
- You will be able to have hard conversations around priority calls with stakeholders to ensure the integrity of the product.
