Background:

Marketing Excellence aims to act as catalyst for continuous growth of J&J IM Japan empowering our people best possibly serving our customers and ensuring successful delivery of our performance goals. As importantly this is a great opportunity to pivot towards a new generation commercial model with core capabilities needed for the future.

Position Purpose:

The Marketing Excellence Associate plays a critical role in supporting strategy development and continuous evolution of Marketing Capabilities and Best Practices for a competitive edge of J&J IM.

Role & Responsibility:

  • This position reports to the Head of Marketing and Launch Excellence Commercial Excellence Japan.
  • This role augments Marketing Capabilities through thought leadership and inspiration and ensures the J&J IM way of doing Marketing is constantly evolving and remains competitive in an ever-changing landscape. (Digitalization Omni-channel engagement Marketing Automation Agile approach New Go-To-Market etc.)
  • This role leads Marketing Excellence communities and ensures cross-functional best practice sharing.

About the Job

Competency Assessment

  • Continuously update the competency model for marketing managers and staff
  • Coordinate competency assessments and gap analyses
  • Based on the results identify opportunities for further growth

Strategy Review Process

  • Support standardization of annual brand strategy review processes and timeline leveraging proven frameworks
  • Provide structured support and inputs to brand strategy development which helps brand leaders to formulate/elaborate their plans through a compelling storyline
  • Produce periodic Competitive Intelligence snapshots to support brand strategy discussions training case studies and best-practice sharing

Knowledge Library

  • Further evolve the knowledge platform enabling marketers to smoothly and effectively execute their daily tasks by consolidating all the necessary procedures tools and materials in one place
  • Integrate CI findings into Marketing Excellence communities and knowledge-sharing routines
  • Contribute to positioning Japan as a hub of best-practice export to APAC OpCos while assisting adoption of regional/global best practices in Japan through effective localization and change support

CoE of Marketing Training

  • Support the business via Marketing Excellence coaching and training programs delivery
  • Deliver training sessions workshops and coaching to help teams understand and adopt the J&J IM marketing excellence framework thereby contributing to improve the quality of brand strategies
  • Establish and manage forums and collaboration networks to foster sharing of best practices

Requirements:

Experiences:

  • Experience in marketing operations analytics training coordination or consulting-style project support.
  • Strong analytical and structured thinking; ability to synthesize information into clear outputs
  • Demonstrate ability to contribute to business results in complex and ambitious marketing environments

Skills and Capabilities:

  • Cross-functional team leadership ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders
  • Ability to develop trusted relationships in the organization
  • Strategic thinking based on analytical critical and logical approach
  • Ability to manage your own tasks independently
  • Thinking outside the box inspiring others through insights into latest developments and own experience/expertise
