Operations Director ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY: The Director of Operations leads the Distribution Center and related teams by driving a highperformance customerfirst culture focused on quality productivity innovation and continuous improvement in a light manufacturing setting. The role is responsible for optimizing operational processes overseeing vendor relationships ensuring accurate inventory management and championing Six Sigma principles within the distribution center engraving printing and quality. Essential Functions: Operations and Manufacturing Leadership: - Provides direct oversight leadership and support to the Distribution Center including the areas of production engraving and quality.
- Establishes a team culture that enhances quality output and productivity drives innovation rewards curiosity promotes recognition and appreciation embraces learning drives accountability and always maintains a customer-first mindset.
- Collaborates with brand leaders to elevate customer experience drive program effectiveness and increase customer retention while meeting and exceeding operational objectives and KPIs.
- Partners with sourcing to develop and maintain relationships with key vendors and suppliers manage inventory and drive quality assurance.
- Engages in bi-weekly 1:1s for coaching development and feedback with each direct report.
- Reviews and executes Master Service Agreements with operational vendors.
- Drives a culture of operational excellence through training scheduling workforce utilization automation documentation and ongoing process improvement.
- Institution and adherence to Six Sigma leadership and operational execution.
Brand Leadership: - Contributes to the strategic vision and growth of the brand.
- Participates in daily huddles monthly deep dives and quarterly strategy meetings.
- Represents the voice of the customer operations and supply chain network in brand management conversations.
- Becomes an expert in ones knowledge of RecogNation s and Baudville Brands product and service offerings.
- Maintains a high level of professionalism in daily interactions with customers co-workers superiors and team members.
Experience: - 5 years leading cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment that prioritizes safety and quality.
- Manufacturing experience in the production of finished goods.
- Preferred experience in CNC engraving production printing or 3D printing.
Key Measures of Success: - Reduction of product waste by 10% from the prior year.
- 15% reduction in reprints & returns attributed to quality.
- SLA for Amazon is 99% compliant.
- Inventory counts are accurate and products are organized through Six Sigma principles.
- Distribution center analytics are reviewed calibrated and optimized every 180 days.
REQUIREMENTS Education | Bachelors degree in Business Administration Communications or Supply Chain Management. | Experience | 7 years of management experience with exposure to customer service manufacturing operations supply chain and communications is preferred. Prior project management experience preferred. Six Sigma certification | Physical Demands | Must be able to work in an office and a production environment. Requires a combination of sustained attentiveness and computer operation as well as standing and completing production activities for prolonged periods of time. Push/ pull up to 50 lbs. daily. Forklift and hand jack certified or able to within 30 days. Punctual and regular on-site presence. Additional hours required during the busy season and as needed. | Confidentiality | Must be able to work with confidential financial records in a professional manner. | Initiative | Must be a self-starter and driven individual. Must be able to make independent decisions quickly and handle a heavy workload at times.
