Job Summary
Community Resource Network of Floridais seekinga compassionatedependable driver to join our team. Our drivers transport Adults with Intellectual/Developmental disabilities to their life skills day programs and community outings in the Daytona Beach area.
As a Driver you will play a vital role in helping individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities by assuring their safe transportation to and from their designated locations. Our services are door to door ensuring safety of all riders.
Our drivers have assigned vehicles and each van is equipped with camera system and GPS Tracking.
This route will originate and end in the Daytona Beach area and will transport Individuals to locations in Daytona Beach Deland Port Orange Orange City and surrounding destinations throughout Volusia county.
Hours will be based on route assigned.
The shift is a split AM/PM timeframe for drop off and pick (specific start and end times may vary by day depending on route) 6:00 a.m. - 10:00a.m. and then 2:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m. Monday-Friday. No weekends no holidays! A typical work week could range from 36-40 hours perweek. There may be opportunities for additional hours to assist with outings or special events.
Responsibilities
- Greet and interact with passengers.
- Maintain and protect the confidentiality of the individuals.
- Ensure vehicle is operated in compliance with applicable traffic regulations ordinances and laws in the jurisdiction in which being operated.
- Inspect vehicle to identify needed maintenance.
- Take vehicle for scheduled maintenance
- Sanitizeand clean vehicles daily following routes removing any trash and/or debris.
- Ensure individuals are accounted for and transportation logs are completed daily.
- Assist each passenger in boarding and departingthe vehicle ensuringthat they have entered their destination safely.
- Maintain attendance records
- Candidates must be comfortable and experienced working with Individuals with Developmental Disabilities. Some of the people we serve may also have physical limitations that require assistance getting on and off the van or with buckling their seatbelts.
Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Must pass level 2 background check & drug screening.
- 18 years of age or older
- Valid State of Florida drivers license
- Clean driving record -No alcohol or drug related offenses
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds bend stretch and have full range of motion.
