Job Summary

Qualifications:

NJ instructional certificatein Physical Education and Health
Hold and maintain CPR/First Aid certifications
Hold and maintain if assigned responsibilities for teaching swimming anAmerican Red Cross water safety certificate registered with the New Jersey State Department of Education
Have experience in teaching and working with students in the field of comprehensive health and physical education unless entering teaching from an alternative certification program
Excellent classroom management
Hold a valid drivers license with no serious violations
Possess interpersonal skills with students staff parents administrators and community
Ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing using proper grammar and vocabulary
Demonstrate the ability to use electronic equipment for word processing data management information retrieval visual and audio presentations and telecommunications
Diagnose student strengths and weakness and match those skills with appropriate techniques and materials
Mastery of pedagogical and subject matter skills
Knowledge of NJ Curriculum standards
