Role Snapshot

Thomas & Hutton is hiring a Civil Site Development Project Manager to lead land development and municipal infrastructure projects throughout the Columbia region. This role is built for a licensed PE with strong technical expertise in water sewer stormwater utilities grading and general site development paired with the communication and leadership skills to manage clients and guide multidisciplinary teams. Civil 3D experience preferred.

Position Overview

The Project Manager will oversee multiple civil site development projects manage client communication develop scopes and fee proposals coordinate internal engineering disciplines track schedules and budgets and supervise junior staff. This role combines technical oversight client-facing leadership and business development support through regular site visits and relationship building.

Key Responsibilities

Manage multiple civil site development projects for public- and private-sector clients.
Prepare proposals scopes of work and fee estimates.
Monitor scope schedules budgets deliverables and project performance.
Coordinate engineering work across survey environmental structural and landscape architecture disciplines.
Lead civil site design work including water sewer storm drainage utilities grading and site layout.
Maintain consistent communication with clients consultants and internal teams.
Conduct client meetings jobsite visits and field reviews as needed.
Provide quality control and technical guidance throughout all project phases.
Track and manage projects using Vision or Microsoft Project.
Supervise mentor and develop engineers and technicians.

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering.
Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) required.
6 years of civil site development experience.
Strong understanding of engineering principles and advanced design techniques.
Proficiency with AutoCAD; Civil 3D strongly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex or concurrent projects.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Leadership capability and experience supporting business development.
Understanding of project financials performance metrics and profitability.
