Job Duties:

• Contributes to the design and development of Care Management programs in coordination with division leadership.
• Oversees recruitment and retention of all professional and paraprofessional staff.
• Maintains operational responsibility for staffing plans to support the department including position descriptions performance evaluations action plans employee goal setting hiring promotion and disciplinary actions.
• Assists with annual budget preparation for capital manpower and operations funding.
• Ensures that the department operates in a cost effective manner Contributes to the establishment and delivery of initial and ongoing staff education programs.
• Maintains compliance with all relevant regulations as related to the department; specifically in the areas of consistent standards of care documentation and consistency in decision making.
• Establishes collaborative working relationships within and outside the organization.
• Ensures appropriate and accurate documentation of all serviced ordered and rendered on patient medical record.
• Discerns content manner and timing of information sharing with sensitivity to individual and organizational concerns.
• Responsible for hospital utilization functions-determination of appropriate clinical utilization.
• Responsible for monitoring and reporting trends in utilization.
• Responsible for improvement related to opportunities illuminated by trended data.
• Integrates this function and data with all other pertinent hospital processes and functions.
• Responsible for all related regulatory compliance.
• Supervises department staff.
