About the job:
The Analyst will be part of the team responsible for the origination and executions of Capital Call opportunities for Asset Managers and Financial Sponsors.
Under the direction of senior members of the team the successful candidate will assist in building and managing a portfolio of Subscription facilities through analysis of relevant information including Borrowing Base assessment and learn aspects of legal documentation review. The Analyst will be responsible for managing internal information tracking related to client interactions and portfolio management.
List Major/Essential Job Duties
Working closely with ExecutiveDirector and VP to identify capital call opportunities with new and existing Financial Sponsors and Asset Managers.
Developing relationship and transaction marketing materials.
Review client related information liaisewith lendersand clients to obtain and asses information for deal related opportunities.
Review and understand borrowing bases and capitalcall structures.
Monitor facility performance updated relevant monitoring information track and recordclient contact activity.
As the individual develops attending client meetings bank meetings and investor days.
Working on the Credit/ Risk team Legal KYC and documentation aspects of transaction execution.
Liaising with partners in coverage products credit risk and compliance to service day-to-day client needs and ensure adherence to internal processes.
Track client income and performance for ongoing reporting and Sr. Management requests in additionto runningdeal related models for assessing returns.
Level of Complexity and Risk Involved
Moderately complex responsibilities with a critical component being assisting in the reviewing of Capital Call opportunities including Borrowing Base information Financial reporting PPMs.
Scope of Duties
Interaction with other teams within the BBVA Group.
Understanding and development of financial modeling financial statement analysis.
Oral and written presentations for client marketing and internal purposes.
Client meeting participation when practical.
Preparation and monitoring of the loan closing process.
Loan booking on the Banks loan servicing tool.
Identification and use of research and tools.
Participation in due diligence meetings.
Skills knowledge and abilities/Competencies
Degree in Economics Accounting Finance or related field.
Fluent in English. Working Knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong organizational skills to manage loan approval deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work in a team environment and under tight deadlines.
Financial modeling and knowledge of financial statements.
Proficient in ALL Microsoft Office Tools.
Strong Excel and PowerPoint capabilities are a must.
