Job Description
Acciona Agua is seeking an experiencedEngineering Manager with a strong background inwater infrastructure projects includingwastewater treatment plants drinking water treatment plants and desalination facilities. This role is critical in supporting key tenders and future project delivery across the South Australia region.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead thereview of detailed electrical engineering requirementsfor water treatment and desalination plant designs.
Providetechnical oversightduring the bidding process including theevaluation and assessment of proposed electrical systems and procedures.
Coordinate with cross-functional departments to enhanceinterdisciplinary collaborationand improve bid quality.
Support the bidding team instandardisation tasksand contribute to the development of consistent technical approaches.
Conductdetailed electrical system optimisationfor water treatment projects.
Prepareelectrical equipment data sheetsand performtechnical tabulationsfor desalination plant components.
Review technical documentation post-purchase and ensure alignment with project specifications.
Follow up on detailed electrical engineering progress through toproject completion.
Additional Responsibilities:
Extract and communicate key technical information from bid documents.
Propose technical improvements to enhance bid competitiveness and feasibility.
Prepare and contribute to significant portions of client proposals presentations and defences.
Maintain accurate and effective documentation throughout the bid and project phases.
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
Supervise and guide assigned team members ensuring high-quality deliverables.
Required Skills and Competencies
Strong technical background in electrical engineering for water infrastructure (WWTP WTP desalination).
Ability to develop and review SLDs P&IDs equipment datasheets electrical calculations and tender documentation.
Knowledge of Australian standards (AS/NZS 3000 etc.) and SA Water/WSAA requirements.
Experience supporting tenders including system optimisation vendor evaluations and technical clarifications.
Effective crossdiscipline coordination and strong communication skills.
Ability to lead mentor and ensure highquality engineering output.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in electrical engineering (Masters desirable).
8 years experience in electrical design for water/process infrastructure.
Experience in EPC/D&C projects tender preparation and project delivery.
Proficiency with relevant design tools (e.g. ETAP/PowerFactory AutoCAD).
Chartered (CPEng) or working toward it is highly regarded.
Ability to travel to South Australia project locations as required.
