About the role and where you will be working:

Southern Cross Care WA is seeking an experienced Claims and Injury Management Specialist to join our People Learning & Culture team. This role plays a key part in supporting safe work practices preventing workplace injuries and managing workers compensation and returntowork processes. You will work closely with leaders employees insurers and external partners to ensure compliance reduce injury risk and improve claims performance.

This is a permanent full-time position based at our Central Office in Rivervale with opportunities for collaboration across our services.

Well also be asking you to:-

  • Provide subject matter expertise to managers and employees on injury prevention and injury management
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation regulations and codes of practice
  • Support injured employees through fitnessforwork workers compensation and returntowork processes
  • Assist with incident investigations reporting and implementation of control measures

To be considered for this role youll need:

  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Personal Injury Management or equivalent relevant experience
  • Knowledge of the Work Health and Safety Act (2020) Regulations (2022) and Workers Compensation and Injury Management Act 2023
  • Experience with conciliation and arbitration processes
  • Ability to interpret policy and legislation
  • High level of initiative ability to prioritise meet deadlines and work independently
