As a Manufacturing Engineer you are responsible for developing and maintaining methods operating sequences and processes in the fabrication of parts components subassemblies and final work closely with other engineering functions to coordinate the release of product improvements and new products and youll use engineering principles to estimate and reduce manufacturing costs improve product quality determine time standards and make recommendations for tooling and process requirements. Your expertise in lean principles automation and continuous improvement will be instrumental in driving operational excellence and achieving higher levels of productivity and cost-effectiveness. Youll develop and use test procedures evaluate test results and assess work methods procedures and policies to identify root cause issues and solutions that ensure operational success.
General Profile
The role requires solid knowledge and experience inelectronicselectromechanical systemsand computing with continued development of higher-level technical skills. The candidate will handle a variety of straightforward technical and engineering tasks applying established procedures and receiving a moderate level of guidance. The position involves supporting manufacturing repair testing and continuous improvement activities within a global cross-functional environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain methods operating sequences and processes for the fabrication of parts components subassemblies and final assemblies.
- Collaborate with other engineering teams to coordinate the release of product improvements and new products.
- Apply basic engineering and Design for Excellence (DFx) principles to estimate and reduce manufacturing and product costs while improving overall product quality.
- Determine time standards and provide recommendations for tooling and process requirements.
- Develop and execute test procedures analyze test results and evaluate work methods procedures and policies.
- Conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions for issues arising during assembly or system testing including performing Process Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (PFMEA).
- Follow technical procedures and safety protocols during all operations.
- Use diagnostic equipment (multimeters oscilloscopes VNA) to troubleshoot electronic circuits and replace damaged components such as resistors capacitors and SMD chips requiring strong analog/digital electronics knowledge and SMD/THT soldering skills.
- Interpret electrical schematics ensuring proper device functionality.
- Identify and qualify replacement parts for obsolete components performing related testing and validation.
- Manage new repair and test projects for electronic and electromechanical products.
- Create execute and maintain test activities on electronic and/or electromechanical products.
- Draft and update technical procedures and control instructions.
- Train and mentor technical personnel when required.
- Perform inspection analysis and acceptance of incoming parts.
- Troubleshoot and repair electronic and electromechanical components.
- Ensure proper documentation of repair activities and maintain accurate technical records.
- Support production activities and collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster synergy across departments globally.
Preferred Qualifications
Technical diploma in electronics with proven experience or a University degree in Mechatronics or Electronic Engineering.
24 years of related experience.
Good written and spokenEnglishskills.
Ability toproducedetailed repairdocumentation and technical procedures.
Knowledge ofRF Matchunits andRF Generators.
- Experience in repairing electronic and/or electromechanical components.
- Ability to read and interpretschematicsandtechnical drawings.
Proficiency with measurement instruments such as oscilloscopes multimeters calipers and testers.
Good understanding of PC components and basic software installation/management.
