As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Corporate Finance Technology team youare an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance build and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. As a core technical contributor you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives.

Job responsibilities

• Design develop and support multiple Java applications on AWS and Internal GAIA Cloud (GAP and GVP) platforms ensuring high performance scalability and reliability
• Executes creative software solutions design development and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
• Develops secure high-quality production code and reviews and debugs code written by others
• Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
• Serve as the Application Owner for global travel and expense applications overseeing their development maintenance and support
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team fostering a collaborative and innovative environment
• Analyze and resolve complex technical issues ensuring minimal disruption to application functionality and user experience
• Collaborate with cross functional teams in an Agile environment including Product Managers UX designers to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business requirements

Required qualifications capabilities and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5 years applied experience
• 8 years of coding experience in Java and 2 years of React Development
• Familiarity with modern front-end technologies such as Angular or React
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design application development testing and operational stability
• Advanced in one or more programming language(s)
• Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies and cross product team collaboration
• Experience with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) application resiliency and security practices
• Experience with Micro Services API development and Cloud Technologies

• AWS Certifications
• Full Stack development experience
• Experience in Financial Organization
