The following position is an anticipated opening in the Elgin Local Schools for the 2026-2027 school year:Position: Middle School/High School Vocal Music Teacher Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors Degree Proper Certification/Licensure BCI/FBI clearanceEssential Functions:Instruct students in singing techniques music theory and performance fostering musical growth across various styles. Teach music theory and sight reading skillsPlan and implement music lessons incorporating varied genres and student abilities and provide individualized feedback to improve vocal skill often preparing them for auditions or competitions. Organize rehearsals concerts and possibly musical theater productions. Maintain student records and manage school-owned instruments/music libraries.
