Position Overview
The Fleet Manager isresponsible for managing a fleet of approximately60 vehicles andpieces of equipment ensuring everything is tracked maintained repairedcompliant and ready to perform. You will lead a small team coordinatevendors manage inventory and make informed decisions around repairsreplacements and purchases.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the full lifecycle of fleet assets including repairs maintenance replacements sales and new purchases
- Schedule and prioritize fleet needs to minimize downtime and keep crews productive
- Manage and lead a team of1-3 direct reports holding them accountable to expectations timelines and quality of work
- Track all fleet inventory equipment parts and supplies with extreme accuracy and organization
- Research equipment vendors pricing warranties and safety requirements for trucks and equipment
- Partner with local vendors to securefast service reliable support and competitive pricing
- Communicate clearly and professionally with leadership field teams and vendors
- Respond quickly to breakdowns and urgent issues thinking on the fly to find solutions
- Maintain detailed records related to fleet condition repairs costs and compliance
- Continuously improve fleet systems processes and efficiencies
