Job Overview

The Custodian supports a safe clean and orderly work environment at Sandviks Alachua facility. This roleis responsible forsanitation general housekeeping and routine facilities maintenance to ensure the health and safety of all building occupants. Duties include cleaning indoor areasmaintainingoutdoor spaces and following established procedures aligned withSandviks safetystandards.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean andmaintainassigned areas to meet Facilities standards and expectations.

• Perform tasks such as mopping floors cleaning windows wiping tables cleaning restrooms vacuuming emptying trash and replenishing supplies.

• Maintain a trash and recycling removal schedule consistent with local pickup times.

• Replace air filters and conduct minor upkeep tasks as directed.

• Clean up spills and ensure surfaces are sanitized tomaintainworkplace hygiene.

• Follow established cleaning procedures to support a safe work environment including OSHA and company regulations.

• Maintain cleanliness of outdoor areas such as walkways green spaces and building exterior surfaces (mowing trimming pressure washing etc.).

• Operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively (e.g. floor scrubbers buffers).

• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to the Facilities Manager promptly.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Requires standing walking bending lifting and exposure to cleaning agents for extended periods.

• Occasional exposure to loud noises.

Education& Qualifications

• Ability to work in the U.S. on a full-time indefinite basis without sponsorship

• High School Diploma/GED

• Previouscustodial janitorial or facilities maintenance experience.

• Familiarity with safe handling of cleaning chemicals.

• Ability tooperatecustodial tools and equipment.

• Basic knowledge of OSHA safety requirements.
