About the Role

Werelooking for innovators with hands-on experience in computer vision or robotics.Youllbe part of a world-class research team to design prototype and deliver robustperceptionsolutions for Dysons next-generation robotic platforms. Key Responsibilities:

• Communicate complex concepts clearly within a cross-functional multicultural team.

• Take ownership and work autonomously to deliver against ambitious goals.

• Design implement and evaluate novelperceptionalgorithms for real-world robotic challenges.

• Build and rigorously test prototypesacross simulation and hardwareto assess performance and reliability.

• Identifyand resolve challenging edge casesencounteredin domestic environments.

• Collaborate with engineers from multiple disciplines to create systems that balance physical computational and cost constraints.

• Develop software in Python and/or C; deploy and test solutions on prototype or target hardware.

• Applystate-of-the-artmachine learning and image processing methods suited to embedded robotic platforms.

• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices in academic and industrial robotics.

About You

• Advanced degree (or equivalent experience) in Engineering or a related field focused on sensing andperception.

• Proven experience with a range of sensing technologies including integration and system-level understanding.

• Skilled in designing developing and testing both hardware and software prototypes.

• Expertisein modern machine learning and embedded computer vision including object detection tracking point cloud registration and semantic segmentation.

• Hands-on experience with training and evaluating deep learning models.

• Experience with vision-language models (VLMs VLAs) and large language models (LLMs).

• Highly self-motivated and passionate about innovation in interdisciplinary settings.

• Strong Python programming skills and familiarity with open-source robotics tools.

• Robust experience developing and deploying software in Linux environments following contemporary best practices.

Desirable:

• 3 years of hands-on experience in robotics.

• Experience with complex highly articulated mobile robots in real-world settings.

• Proficiencyin robotics simulation platforms (e.g. GazeboPyBullet).

• Practical experience with Time-of-Flight or RGB camera sensors.

• Knowledge of C.
