We are seeking a confident experienced and passionate Year 6 Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Feltham starting as soon as possible. As a Year 6 Teacher you will plan deliver and assess high-quality lessons across the curriculum. You will foster resilience independence and positive learning behaviours while supporting pupils academically socially and emotionally. A key part of the role involves preparing pupils for statutory assessments (SATs) and ensuring they are confident and ready for the next stage of their education.
You will work closely with teaching assistants and colleagues to provide differentiated support for all pupils including those with special educational needs and English as an additional language. Monitoring pupil progress and maintaining accurate assessment records will be central to your role ensuring that teaching is informed by up-to-date data.
Key Responsibilities
Plan deliver and assess high-quality lessons across the Year 6 curriculum
Prepare pupils for SATs and secondary school transition
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils including SEND and EAL learners
Promote independence resilience and positive learning behaviours
Maintain a structured inclusive and positive classroom environment
Collaborate effectively with teaching assistants and other KS2 colleagues
Communicate regularly with parents and carers regarding pupil progress
Monitor pupil progress and maintain accurate assessment records
Contribute to staff meetings CPD and school-wide initiatives
Ensure safeguarding policies are adhered to at all times
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have experience teaching Upper Key Stage 2 ideally Year 6
Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills
Be reflective proactive and adaptable
Have a strong commitment to inclusion safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
Work collaboratively and contribute to a positive school culture
