This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Science Technician to join a welcoming independent school in Doncaster supporting the delivery of high-quality practical science across the school from April 2026.

Contract: Full-time Permanent

Working Pattern: Full-time term-time plus inset days
Salary: Competitive dependent on experience

The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the Science Department ensuring practical lessons run smoothly safely and effectively. Working closely with teaching staff the Science Technician will prepare resources maintain equipment and support health and safety across laboratories.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare equipment materials and resources for practical science lessons.

  • Support teaching staff during experiments and demonstrations when required.

  • Ensure laboratories are kept clean organised and safely maintained.

  • Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering equipment and chemicals.

  • Carry out routine equipment checks and basic maintenance.

  • Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures including COSHH.

  • Safely store and dispose of chemicals and hazardous materials.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Science Technician or in a laboratory-based role.

  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
