Job Title: EU RSPO Privacy Protection Expert


Job Location: Düsseldorf Germany


Main Responsibilities:

  • Act as privacy and data protection advisory point of contact for appropriate business and functional stakeholders.

  • Support business data privacy activities and provide support in strategic efforts to ensure data privacy compliance.

  • Assist in handling inquiries and issues related to data privacy.

  • Advise on the fulfilling of data subject rights requests and handle escalations.

  • Support with data breaches in assessing documenting and where appropriate notifying data breaches to data subjects and authorities.

  • Coordinate and collaborate with the country data privacy coordinators on a regular basis.

  • Contribute to developing and updating policies and procedures for compliance.

  • Assist in developing and delivering data privacy training to employees.

  • Support in building and maintaining reporting dashboards and presentation materials to senior leadership.

  • Collaborate with internal groups such as Legal IT Security HR Procurement and Marketing to address inquiries identify privacy gaps propose solutions and incorporate practical approaches into official procedures.

  • Support business implement privacy compliance assess high risk scenarios provide professional opinion on the scenarios.

  • As COE of Region provide template to countries together with business team to embedded privacy to business process.

  • Provide Insight of Privacy on EU level. Interpret and guide business to implement the compliance measures.

  • Conduct inspection to business when necessary.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of professional experience in data protection and privacy with strong knowledge of the GDPR and other applicable data protection laws (e.g. the ePrivacy Directive) as well as relevant soft law sources including opinions and guidelines issued by the European Data Protection Board and national data protection authorities.

  • APP certification or equivalent demonstrating solid privacy professional knowledge and expertise in privacy governance.

  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to assess privacy and data protection risks and evaluate their impact on individuals.

  • Proven ability to explain complex privacy legal and regulatory topics in a clear concise and practical manner.

  • Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across different levels of the organization.

  • Strong project management skills with a clear sense of ownership and accountability for assigned workstreams.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (mandatory); proficiency in Chinese and/or other European languages is considered a strong plus.
