About the role
You will join the Expert Retention team responsible for rewards incentives community communication and support the systems that keep experts active and engaged on the Arbolus platform.
This is a full-stack product engineering role. Youll work across PostgreSQL and AWS building features used daily by our experts. Youll also be expected to understand the business impact of what you build and use data to guide decisions.
We are an AI-forward team. We expect engineers to use tools like Claude Cursor Codex and MCPs as part of their daily workflow to move faster and build better.
Key responsibilities you will be in charge of
Owning features end-to-end: design implementation release and iteration
Working with Product and Data to turn business goals into shipped solutions
Using metrics and experiments to improve retention and engagement
This role directly reports to the Engineering Manager and is based in our Barcelona office.
Requirements to succeed in this role
We are looking for curious ambitious people who are excited by the challenge of helping a scale-up transition from a service-led model to a data-focused company.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
6 years of professional backend development experience
Strong PostgreSQL and React
Comfortable working with AWS Docker and GitHub
Actively uses AI-powered developer tools in daily work
Used to owning features in production not just writing code
Able to make decisions based on data and business metrics
Comfortable working in a hybrid cross-location team
