We are seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to join our team for a highly innovative machine learning/AI project within a leading company in the industrial and automation sector based in Bologna aimed at improving maintenance activities on machines operating at customer sites through advanced ML and AI solutions.

Location: full-remote

Main responsibilities

Understanding use cases presented by domain experts and translating them into statistical and AI problems.
Developing appropriate solutions (coded in Python) that meet production-grade requirements.
Implementing MLOps practices using open-source tools efficient coding standards and enterprise-level platforms.
Validating results on machine-related domains in collaboration with subject-matter experts.
Promoting working solutions to the production environment (API encapsulation).

Technical skills and requirements:

At least 3/4 years of experience as a Data Scientist or Machine Learning Engineer AI Engineer.
Masters Degree in Data Science Computer Science Physics or Statistics.
Strong proficiency in Python development.
Intermediate knowledge of SQL Docker and Git versioning.
Solid understanding of statistical methodologies for descriptive analysis and modeling (e.g. time series forecasting statistical modeling machine learning).
Collaborative attitude structured mindset and advanced coding skills.

Additionally it will be considered a plus:

Experience with MLOps methodologies.
Python package development.
MLflow and Flask frameworks.
Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric.
