We are looking for a patient compassionate and dedicated SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Thurrock starting as soon as possible. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with a pupil with specific additional needs supporting them to access the curriculum and thrive socially emotionally and academically.

The Role
As a SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant you will work directly with a pupil who requires personalised support to engage fully with classroom learning. You will assist with tasks provide guidance and encourage independence while supporting the pupils emotional and social development.
You will liaise closely with class teachers the SENCo and other support staff to implement strategies outlined in the pupils Individual Education Plan (IEP) and to track progress effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one support to a pupil with SEN
Assist with learning activities and classroom tasks
Support the implementation of IEP targets
Encourage independence resilience and positive behaviour
Observe and record pupil progress providing feedback to teachers and SENCo
Support social emotional and communication development
Work collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionals
Maintain a safe structured and nurturing learning environment
