We are seeking a patient compassionate and dedicated SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Reading starting as soon as possible. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a difference to pupils with additional needs helping them access the curriculum and thrive both academically and socially.

The Role
As a SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant you will work closely with a pupil requiring personalised support. You will assist them with classroom tasks provide guidance and help develop independence confidence and positive learning behaviours. You will collaborate with class teachers SENCo and other support staff to implement strategies outlined in the pupils Individual Education Plan (IEP) and monitor progress.
Key Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one support for a pupil with SEN
Assist with learning activities and classroom tasks
Support the implementation of IEP targets
Encourage independence resilience and positive behaviour
Observe and record pupil progress and provide feedback to staff
Support social emotional and communication development
Work collaboratively with teaching staff and professionals
Maintain a safe structured and nurturing learning environment

Have experience supporting pupils with SEN in a school or similar setting
