The Role

You will work closely with the Science department to ensure the smooth delivery of practical lessons across Biology Chemistry and Physics. Your expertise will be vital in supporting teachers to bring the curriculum to life through safe and effective experimentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Practical Preparation: Setting up equipment chemicals and biological specimens for Key Stage 3 GCSE and A-Level practicals.

• Laboratory Safety: Ensuring all activities comply with CLEAPSS and Health & Safety regulations including the correct handling and disposal of hazardous substances.

• Equipment Maintenance: Managing the inventory of lab apparatus performing routine calibrations and arranging repairs when necessary.

• Technical Support: Assisting teachers and students during lessons to ensure practical work is carried out accurately and safely.

• Chemical Management: Maintaining the chemical store including the accurate labeling storage and auditing of stock.

Requirements
