Job Summary
A supportive and forward-thinking secondary school in Worksop is looking to appoint a motivated Geography ECT to join its Humanities faculty from January 2026.
Geography is a well-established subject at the school valued for its relevance and ability to engage pupils in understanding the world around them. The department has experience mentoring ECTs and offers a structured well-planned curriculum that allows new teachers to focus on teaching rather than excessive planning.
The Role
You will teach Geography across KS3 and KS4 supported by shared planning consistent routines and experienced colleagues.
Key aspects of the role include:
Teaching physical and human geography using established resources
Supporting GCSE preparation with clear guidance and modelling
Developing confidence in classroom management with mentor support
Participating in joint planning and moderation
Supporting enrichment such as fieldwork or themed geography days
Support for Early Career Teachers
