Job Summary
A welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Doncaster is seeking a thoughtful and reflective RE ECT to join its Humanities department from January 2026.
RE plays an important role in the schools curriculum encouraging pupils to explore belief ethics and contemporary issues in a respectful and structured way.
The Role
You will teach RE across KS3 and KS4 delivering a curriculum that balances knowledge discussion and written evaluation.
Responsibilities include:
Teaching world religions philosophy and ethics
Supporting pupils in structured discussion and written responses
Using shared resources to reduce planning workload
Developing confidence in managing discussion-based lessons
Working closely with your mentor and Humanities colleagues
ECT Induction
Reduced timetable and structured ECF programme
Weekly mentoring focused on classroom practice
Clear expectations and consistent behaviour systems
