About Yeply
We are Yeply a modern Finnish start-up and a revolution in the old conservative structures of bicycle repair. Our mission is to make bicycle maintenance and repair simple transparent and hassle-free. The maintenance and repairs will include e-Bikes city bicycles transport bicycles and childrens bicycles. The mechanics ensure that all bicycles are 100% roadworthy. We serve business customers (bicycle fleets) but also visit private individuals in the neighbourhood. So far we have serviced more than 190000 bikes in Europe and the end is far from in sight!
Your tasks
You help build Yeply in the Benelux. This includes:
Preventive maintenance of bikes and carry out complex repairs
You carry out and lead the bicycle repairs in our hypermodern vans converted into a workshop
Make sure that our quality and quantity of repairs meet our high standards
Oversee the stock control of spare parts
Work with a diverse team of mechanics
Have direct communication with customers
Train our mechanic teams and develop new ways of coaching and learning
Responsible for running an effective and efficient operation to meet our customer demands
Develops a team of mechanics in line with the companys growth expectations
Provides training and mentorship to mechanics ensuring they are well-versed in company procedures and best practices.
Leads the technical onboarding process for new mechanics ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
Oversees the quality of work orders ensuring jobs and billing are completed to the companys high standards.
Allocates most of his/her time to hands-on mechanic work engaging in repair and maintenance tasks alongside the team.
Engages in and supervises the repair and maintenance of bikes ensuring top-notch service.
Oversees and engages in the maintenance of the mobile service vans ensuring they are in optimal condition.
Monitors and assesses the performance of individual mechanics providing feedback and areas for improvement.
Hosts and leads weekly mechanic meetings fostering open communication discussing challenges and sharing updates.
Works closely with other departments such as sales marketing and customer service to ensure that the companys overall goals are met.
What do you bring to the table:
1 years of experience in a team lead or Senior Mechanic ideally related to mobility
Strong leadership qualities and ability to inspire and mentor a team.
Experience in repair and maintenance preferably in the bike industry.
Proactive and hands-on approach to tasks and challenges.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on clarity and constructive feedback.
Ability to multitask and manage both administrative and hands-on tasks.
Familiarity with maintaining and operating service vans.
Eagerness to stay updated with industry trends and best practices.
Fluency in both Dutch and English (both written and spoken).
