Job Summary

We at WorkShop are now looking for a new Account Director! As Account Director at WorkShop you are responsible for leading one of the agencys most significant client partnerships ensuring exceptional strategic direction delivery excellence and commercial success. This role demands both visionary leadership and operational precision balancing long-term strategic growth with day-to-day performance management.

As the senior point of contact for the client you will cultivate deep trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver work that drives measurable business results. You will play a central role in shaping the clients strategy optimizing collaboration across departments and fostering a culture of innovation accountability and excellence.

This role requires deep experience in retail-led marketing and field activation with a strong understanding of how brand strategy translates into in-store execution field operations and local market performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Client Leadership

  • Act as the senior point of contact and strategic advisor for the clients senior stakeholders

  • Drive the development and implementation of integrated marketing and communication strategies aligned with client business objectives including retail and field marketing priorities

  • Anticipate client needs and proactively identify opportunities for innovation growth and partnership expansion

  • Represent the agency in senior client forums and strategic planning sessions

Business Growth & Commercial Management

  • Own the commercial performance of the account ensuring profitability efficiency and sustainable growth

  • Oversee contract management statements of work forecasting and resource planning

  • Partner with internal leadership to develop account plans and growth strategies

  • Lead negotiations on scope fees and remuneration models

Integrated Delivery & Operational Excellence

  • Lead cross-functional teams including strategy creative digital production and field marketing

  • Lead all field and retail activation teams across markets ensuring strong in-store execution

  • Oversee retail and field marketing programs from strategy through execution

  • Maintain a strong understanding of the clients retail environment and competitive landscape

Leadership & Team Development

  • Inspire and develop account and field teams

  • Build a collaborative high-performing team culture

Performance Measurement & Insight

  • Define and track KPIs across client satisfaction financial performance and retail execution

  • Translate performance data into actionable insights

Agency Representation

  • Act as a senior ambassador for the agency

  • Build strong relationships with partners and collaborators

Qualifications:

  • 6 years of client management experience

  • Proven experience working with retail-driven brands

  • Deep understanding of integrated marketing and retail environments

  • Demonstrated experience leading field marketing teams across multiple markets

  • Commercial and financial acumen

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills

  • Fluent in English and Swedish
