Job Summary
Job Summary (FORKLIFT OPERATER)
- Pay Rate: $18.50/hr
- Shift: 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
- Job Type: Temporary
- COVID Requirements: None
- Dress Code: No cut-off shirts or jeans tank tops halter tops holes rips loose material or offensive graphics; safety shoes not required
- Free parking available
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe work environment and follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Use RF equipment to accurately process inbound (receiving) outbound (shipping) and internal orders/requisitions
- Ensure all transactions are accurate in item and quantity
- Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory accuracy and Quality Assurance inspections
- Provide backup support for other departments as needed (with cross training)
- Consolidate stock to improve inventory performance and maximize warehouse space
- Maintain 5S standards in assigned work area
- Meet productivity and quality standards as set by department manager
- Inspect and perform QA on all outbound freight; ensure correct items quantities and undamaged cartons
- Palletize and load shipments to prevent damage during transit
- Load products onto LTL TL trailers and vans
- Inspect all inbound freight for quantity and damage; complete documentation including carriers BOL
- Follow all relevant Standard Work Instructions for assigned tasks
- Complete daily forklift inspection checklist and report equipment repair needs
- Perform C-TPAT compliance inspections and documentation for all international shipments
- Maintain operational and warehouse security per C-TPAT policy
- Assist team leads with onboarding new employees
- Perform other duties as assigned
