Job Summary
We seek a highly skilled Drupal Acquia CMS Architect to lead the design development and deployment of enterprise-grade digital solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Drupal 9/10 Acquia Cloud PHP AWS Containers (Docker/Kubernetes) Microservices Architecture and REST APIs. This role requires a strong understanding of database design performance optimization and cloud-native best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Architect and design enterprise-level Drupal solutions on Acquia Cloud or self-hosted AWS environments.
Develop scalable high-performance applications leveraging PHP microservices and containerized solutions.
Implement RESTful APIs for integration with third-party services and enterprise applications.
Develop scalable event-driven microservices-based architectures leveraging Apache Kafka.
Optimize Drupal theming module development caching and security.
Design and implement containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
Leverage AWS services (EC2 RDS Lambda S3 EKS etc.) for hosting and infrastructure.
Ensure database integrity performance tuning and query optimization for MySQL PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
Establish CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices for streamlined deployment and automated testing.
Guide development teams conduct code reviews and enforce Drupal coding standards and best practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex performance and scalability issues in production environments.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define business requirements and technical roadmaps.
Required Skills & Experience
10 years of experience in Drupal development and architecture including Drupal 9/10.
Expertise in Acquia Cloud Platform (Acquia Site Factory Acquia Cloud Site Acquia CD).
Strong PHP programming skills with experience in Symfony and modern PHP frameworks.
Strong knowledge of caching strategies (Redis Varnish Memcached) and search technologies (Elasticsearch Solr).
Proficiency in AWS cloud infrastructure (EC2 S3 RDS Lambda EKS CloudFront API Gateway etc.).
Experience with containerization (Docker Kubernetes) and deploying microservices-based applications.
Solid understanding of REST API development and integrations.
Hands-on experience with database design indexing and query optimization (MySQL PostgreSQL etc.).
Strong knowledge of Drupal theming and module development.
Familiarity with headless Drupal and decoupled architecture (GraphQL JSON:API).
Experience with CI/CD DevOps pipelines and automation tools (Jenkins GitLab CI Terraform).
Experience working in Agile environments with tools like Jira Confluence and Git.
Preferred Qualifications
Acquia Certified Drupal Architect or relevant certifications.
Strong understanding of serverless computing and event-driven applications.
Strong understanding of security best practices in Drupal AWS and API development.
