Position Summary
The Radiation Therapist provides radiation treatments to patients as prescribed by the physician under the supervision of the Radiation Therapy Manager and in accordance with established policies and procedures. This position requires adherence to radiation safety standards healthcare regulations and department protocols.
The role involves confidential work patient interaction and collaboration with the radiation oncology team. Experience with Aria Eclipse Treatment Planning and Phillips CT software is preferred.
The Radiation Therapist is responsible for effectively using healthcare informatics tools including clinical guidelines medical devices information systems and patient records. Strong critical thinking problem-solving and interpersonal communication skills are essential for ensuring high-quality patient care and treatment outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

Administer radiation therapy treatments according to physician prescriptions and established protocols

Educate and guide patients regarding procedures and treatment plans

Monitor patients during treatment responding appropriately to changes in condition

Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment ensuring quality control and safety compliance

Collaborate with physicians nurses and radiation oncology staff to provide optimal patient care

Maintain accurate and timely patient records and documentation

Adhere to all radiation safety principles and regulatory requirements

Assist in additional department duties as needed
Minimum Qualifications

Associates degree in Radiation Therapy (or equivalent)

Radiation Therapy Certification in good standing

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
