About the Opportunity
A coastal acute care hospital in California is seeking a Manager RN to lead Labor & Delivery and Mom/Baby services. This organization offers a supportive mission-driven culture that blends community-focused care with the resources and stability of a larger health system.
This role reports directly to the Director of Womens & Childrens Services and offers the opportunity to work closely with an experienced highly respected leader known for mentorship collaboration and effective union partnership. What Youll Be Doing
Provide clinical and operational leadership for Labor & Delivery and Postpartum units
Lead mentor and support front-line nursing and ancillary staff
Foster teamwork engagement and open communication across units
Partner with educators and clinical leaders to identify training needs and support ongoing staff development
Monitor patient outcomes unit performance and compliance with regulatory and quality standards
Champion initiatives focused on patient safety throughput and satisfaction
Collaborate with senior leadership to align departmental goals with organizational strategy
Maintain a visible hands-on leadership presence on the units
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Nursing required; Masters degree preferred
Active California Registered Nurse license required
NRP certification required
Minimum of two years of acute care nursing experience preferably in perinatal services
Minimum of one year of nursing leadership or management experience
Strong communication coaching and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a union environment
Compensation and Benefits
Salary range: $145000 $218000 annually
