Job Summary

Role Snapshot

The Fabrication Welder is responsible for welding and fabricating components to print specifications in a manufacturing environment. This is a first-shift hands-on role requiring strong blueprint reading layout and fabrication skills. The ideal candidate can independently build from prints and meet production standards while maintaining quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate fabrication equipment including hand plasma cutters saws brake press and deburring equipment
  • Weld quality parts to blueprint specifications using jigs when available
  • Perform layout and fabrication work to print requirements
  • Meet production standard times while maintaining weld quality
  • Maintain a clean organized and safe work area
  • Follow all safety procedures during welding and fabrication operations
Education & Experience Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • 5 years of fabrication welding experience required
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Proven experience laying out and fabricating parts to print
  • MIG welding experience required
  • Must pass an on-site weld test prior to placement
  • Strong measurement skills including fractions decimals and angles
  • Proficient with calipers tape measure (to 1/32) squares and angle squares
  • Experience using hand tools air tools grinders overhead cranes and steel handling equipment
  • Forklift experience or ability to be trained
