Job Summary
Job Summary:
- Position: Lead Test Infrastructure & Automation Engineer (W2 Local Hybrid)
- Location: Local candidates only; hybrid schedule (4 days/week onsite)
- Assessment: Must complete Glider assessment
- Technical Focus: Strong Python/Pytest expertise required; experience with test automation frameworks and infrastructure development
- Key Responsibilities:
- Design build and expand test infrastructure for automated testing across multiple systems
- Develop and maintain Python-based test frameworks (including job execution results collection and reporting)
- Integrate and manage CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins) and test management/reporting tools (e.g. TestRail)
- Lead and mentor junior engineers; provide technical leadership and guidance
- Convert manual test assets into automated workflows
- Oversee concurrent automation and reporting projects ensuring quality and timely delivery
- Collaborate with stakeholders on design and architecture decisions
- Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices in automation and infrastructure
- Work closely with leadership to resolve issues and accelerate infrastructure development
- Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 8 10 years experience in test infrastructure and automation
- Advanced Python programming and Pytest (including custom hooks advanced config etc.)
- Recent hands-on experience building test frameworks/infrastructure
- Proficiency with Jenkins TestRail and related automation tools
- Experience with automotive communication protocols (preferred)
- Experience designing and implementing automation frameworks from scratch
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities
- Ability to manage multiple technical workstreams efficiently
- Preferred/Desirable Experience:
- Familiarity with Jenkins (or other CI tools)
- Experience with virtualization platforms (ESXi Proxmox) and VM management
- Experience with Bazel Jama and TestRail
