Role Overview
The client is seeking a Senior Information Architect to provide expert leadership in information architecture planning assessment and governance. This role supports enterprise and cross jurisdictional initiatives and works closely with I&IT clusters stakeholders and external vendors to ensure high quality compliant information architecture outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide information architecture expertise and conduct comprehensive architecture assessments in support of enterprise and infrastructure initiatives.
- Define document and obtain approval for information architecture requirements plans and resource estimates for large scale projects.
- Develop maintain and enforce information architecture standards policies and best practices aligned with OPS and enterprise governance.
- Create and review information architecture artefacts including conceptual logical and physical data models.
- Provide advisory support to project teams client management cluster partners and external contractors.
- Participate in enterprise wide and cross jurisdictional architecture initiatives.
- Lead or contribute to sensitive information architecture investigations and reviews.
- Develop information architecture specifications for RFPs and support vendor evaluations and contract negotiations.
- Produce checkpoint deliverables and artefacts required for architecture governance approvals.
- Ensure compliance with OPS Enterprise Architecture standards
Mandatory Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience developing and reviewing conceptual logical and physical data models.
- Minimum 3 years of experience providing information architecture advisory services to enterprise level project teams and stakeholders.
- Minimum 3 years of experience using CASE tools such as PowerDesigner ERwin MySQL Workbench MagicDraw Visio and Jira.
- Demonstrated experience producing checkpoint deliverables and architecture governance artefacts.
- Proven knowledge of OPS Enterprise Architecture governance
- Public Sector (OPS) experience is mandatory.
Additional Skills and Knowledge
- Strong understanding of Information Management principles policies and practices.
- Experience ensuring architecture compliance with accessibility standards under AODA.
- Excellent stakeholder communication documentation and advisory skills.
