Responsibilities: Performs diagnostic imaging using ARDMS protocols for the following exams: OB/GYN; abdomen; pelvic and endovaginal; small parts including breast thyroid and scrotum; vascular including DVT arterial legs carotids. Receives patients explains procedures and selects appropriate equipment to ensure good patient care. Echocardiography is a plus. Office Duties. Performs office jobs in a small department including but not limited to: answering phones scheduling patients exams printing reports retrieving charts researching problems ordering supplies copying and mailing exams to various facilities and helping providers. Collaborates with SEARHC staff to create a positive working environment. Documentation of QA and QC for SEARHC imaging modalities. Documents: high level disinfection and other information per Joint Commission regulations. Qualifications: Education: Associates degree with certification in diagnostic sonography. Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound program preferred Experience: 1 year Ultrasound experience License and Certifications: ARDMS Knowledge Skills & Abilities: Knowledge Extensive knowledge of the anatomy and physiology used in standard ultrasound. Skills Skilled at independently performing ultrasound. Skilled in oral and written communication. Skilled in organizing and cleaning work areas and maintaining equipment in serviceable condition. Abilities Able to work cooperatively and communicate effectively with radiologists providers patients computer technologists and SEARHC staff.
