Role Overview

We are looking for a Backend Automation / API Automation Tester with strong experience in JavaScript-based automation frameworks. The candidate will be responsible for validating backend services and APIs to ensure high-quality delivery for payment and card-based systems.

Key Responsibilities

Design and execute backend automation tests using JavaScript
Perform API automation testing for RESTful services
Validate request/response payloads business rules and error handling
Create and maintain automation test suites and test data
Perform manual testing when required to support automation coverage
Validate backend data using SQL queries
Log track and follow up on defects until closure
Collaborate with developers and cross-functional teams in Agile setups

Mandatory Skills

Strong experience in JavaScript
Hands-on experience in Backend Automation / API Automation testing

Desired / Good-to-Have Skills

Manual testing experience
Working knowledge of SQL
Experience in Cards & Payments domain

Soft Skills

Clear communication and reporting skills
Ability to work independently and take ownership of automation deliverables
