IFS Cloud Projects (Project Management & Accounting) Functional Consultant

Role Summary

The IFS Cloud Projects Functional Consultant is responsible for designing configuring and deploying end to end project lifecycle capabilities in IFS Cloud-from initiation and planning (templates WBS/CBS budgets/forecasts) through execution (progress & earned value time & expense project procurement & sub contracting) to project financial control (capitalization revenue recognition billing) and closeout. The role ensures an integrated project operating model across engineering supply chain manufacturing/installation finance and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

1. 1) Process Analysis & Understand the Solution Design

• Run discovery workshops for the project lifecycle mapping processes to IFS Cloud Projects: planning WBS/CBS resource planning progress & earned value time/expense procurement sub contract and billing; produce AS IS/TO BE and functional design documents.
• Define the integrated project concept (project as the hub) and cross module handshakes with Finance SCM Manufacturing/Installation and EAM/Service as applicable.

1. 2) Test Configuration & Build setup (IFS Cloud Projects)

• Understand the Configuration and test Project Structures: project templates WBS/CBS deliverables milestones document deliverables and controlled change.
• Understand the Configuration and test Planning & Scheduling including calendars dependencies progress methods and integration with MS Project/Primavera when required.
• Understand the process of Enabling Project Deliverables to connect product/asset structures (BOM/PDM/CAD) with WBS for engineer to order installation/commissioning and construction scenarios.
• Set up Time & Expense capture approvals rates and cost categories for accurate project cost accumulation.
• Understand the Configuration and test project procurement & sub contract flows (project materials services progress claims/retentions if applicable).

1. 3) Project Financial Control & Accounting

• Validate project budgeting & forecasting cost control commitments and variance tracking.
• Understand the Configuration test and Validate capitalization rules revenue recognition (events milestones % complete) progress/milestone billing and intercompany where needed; align with Financials for one truth reporting.
• Define project reporting (performance margin EV cash flow) and drive controls for audit and compliance.

1. 4) Data Integrations & Reporting

• Own data migration templates for projects structures (WBS/CBS/deliverables) budgets and opening balances; build validation rules and cutover plans.
• Specify and validate integrations to scheduling tools (MSP/Primavera) engineering (PDM/CAD) SCM/Manufacturing Finance and external time or BI tools; define reconciliation controls.
• Set up KPIs dashboards and statements using IFS capabilities/Business Reporter aligned to project governance.

1. 5) Testing Enablement & Hypercare

• Prepare end to end SIT/UAT scenarios for planning execution finance and billing; track defects to closure.
• Deliver super user & end user training role based access and SOPs; ensure strong adoption of project self service and progress capture.
• Provide hypercare and continuous improvement with a focus on progress accuracy billing throughput forecast quality and EV discipline.

Required Skills & Experience

• Project centric ERP consulting with IFS Cloud Projects implementations (or IFS Apps with Cloud exposure) across planning execution and project accounting.
• Hands on configuration of WBS/CBS budgets/forecasts time & expense progress/EV procurement/sub contract billing and revenue recognition/capitalization.
• Experience integrating with MS Project/Primavera engineering (PDM/CAD/BOM) SCM and Finance; proven design of reconciliation & controls.
• Strong documentation (FDD/CRIM) migration & cutover UAT leadership and governance skills.

Skills

• Familiarity with Project Deliverables in engineer to order/installation contexts (BOM to WBS traceability).
• Exposure to Project Manufacturing/Construction & Installation footprints and EV reporting.
• IFS Academy learning path or certification in Projects / Financials- Good to have
