Job Summary

Essential Skills

Understanding of event types log formats and schemas.
Familiar with security event logging (auth events network logs audit logs).
Experience working on logging and monitoring projects (e.g. Splunk Datadog Azure Monitor).
Has created log-based alerts with actionable thresholds.
Data normalisation enrichment and correlation.
Ability to create logging guidelines and best practices.
Experience of working closely with IT developers/engineers and operational teams.
Have worked across a variety of technologies and platforms.
Strong process mapping analytical and documentation skills.
Experience of building dashboards and visualisations.
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Accountability for deliverables and proven track record of delivering on schedule.
Good time management.
Must be self-sufficient; able to deliver quality output without supervision.
Proficient with MS Excel Visio Confluence Jira PowerBI Qlik Splunk

Desirable Skills

Previous experience of working in financial services ideally HSBC experience.
Good knowledge/understanding of Multi-Factor and Passwordless technologies.
Good knowledge/understanding of FIDO based authentication.
Experience working with SOC analysts and DevOps teams on monitoring improvements.
Understanding of API logging event driven architectures or audit trails.
