Job Title: Certified Nurse Assistant
Location: Soldier Readiness Processing Center (SRP) William Beaumont Army Medical Center (WBAMC) 18511 Highlander Medics St Fort Bliss TX 79906 and outlying clinics.
Tentative Start Date: 1 April 2026
No. of FTEs Required: 6 FTEs
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 0500-1630 (SRP operational hours). Up to 48 mission-driven overage hours per FTE may be required annually beyond regularly scheduled duty hours as authorized by the Government.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Graduate of a state-approved Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) training program.
- Experience:
- Minimum of one (1) year of recent experience (within the last two years) working as a Certified Nurse Assistant in a clinical ambulatory care hospital or medical support setting.
- Experience performing patient intake activities vital signs and basic clinical support tasks.
- Experience interacting directly with patients and assisting with medical readiness or clinical workflow activities.
- License / Certification:
- Current unrestricted Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification issued by a U.S. state or territory.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or Red Cross) required.
- Other Requirements: U.S. Citizenship required.
Responsibilities:
- Support Soldier Readiness Processing (SRP) operations by assisting with patient flow during mobilization demobilization redeployment and separation activities.
- Perform patient intake tasks including obtaining and recording vital signs height weight and basic medical history information.
- Prepare service members for medical evaluations and readiness-related examinations.
- Assist nursing staff nurse practitioners physician assistants and physicians during examinations screenings and clinical procedures.
- Escort service members between clinical stations and ensure timely movement through SRP processing areas.
- Prepare examination rooms and clinical areas ensuring required supplies and equipment are available for scheduled operations.
- Observe service members for signs of discomfort distress or changes in condition and promptly report findings to nursing or provider staff.
- Accurately documents assigned clinical support activities in MHS GENESIS or other Government-designated systems as directed.
- Support high-volume patient throughput requirements consistent with SRP mission timelines.
- Assist with surge operations during peak MOB/DEMOB cycles including extended duty hours when mission required.
