Job Summary

Job Title: Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Location: Soldier Readiness Processing Center (SRP) William Beaumont Army Medical Center (WBAMC) 18511 Highlander Medics St Fort Bliss TX 79906 and outlying clinics.

Tentative Start Date: 1 April 2026

No. of FTEs Required: 4 FTEs

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 0500-1630 (SRP operational hours). Up to 48 mission-driven overage hours per FTE may be required annually beyond regularly scheduled duty hours as authorized by the Government.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Master s degree in Social Work (MSW) from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience within the last two (2) years providing behavioral health or clinical social work services.
  • Experience conducting psychosocial assessments clinical interviews and risk evaluations.
  • Experience providing short-term counseling crisis intervention and referrals for individuals with behavioral health adjustment or psychosocial concerns.
  • Experience working in fast-paced or high-volume clinical environments is required.
  • License / Certification:
    • Current unrestricted LCSW license issued by any U.S. state or territory; License must allow for independent clinical practice.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or Red Cross) required.
    • National Provider Identifier (NPI) required.
  • Other Requirements: U.S. Citizenship required.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct behavioral health screenings and clinical assessments for service members who screen low moderate or high risk determining fitness to return home with referrals or need for continued treatment at Fort Bliss.
  • Perform initial behavioral health evaluations for deploying service members and review waivers to determine deployment eligibility in accordance with COCOM requirements.
  • Make independent clinical determinations regarding the need for additional counseling treatment or crisis intervention.
  • Assess a high volume of clients to evaluate psychosocial and behavioral health concerns and identify those requiring further care.
  • Consult with supervisors and interdisciplinary clinical providers to determine appropriate courses of action that support mission readiness.
  • Communicate clinically relevant information to command leadership within HIPAA and DoD guidelines as appropriate.
  • Provide behavioral health services using telehealth and other secure communication technologies when required.
  • Deliver crisis intervention services including coordination with emergency services or hospital transport when indicated.
  • Maintain accurate timely and complete clinical documentation in accordance with DoD DHA and MTF standards closing encounters by the end of the duty day or within 24 hours.
  • Meet established productivity and patient throughput standards comparable to peers performing similar services.
  • Comply with all licensures credentialing quality assurance training immunization and timekeeping requirements including use of DMHRSi.
