Construction Quality Control Technician (QC Tech) Location: Chagrin Falls OH
Travel: 70 90% travel to project sites
About the Role We are seeking a Construction Quality Control Technician (QC Tech) based in Chagrin Falls OH responsible for field inspections QC documentation and supporting project teams across multiple active construction sites. This role performs ongoing quality checks maintains field reporting and supports scheduling coordination where needed.
This is a travel-heavy position ideal for someone who has hands-on construction QC experience along with the technical ability to assist with schedule-based documentation and impact analysis.
Key Responsibilities -
Conduct daily quality inspections on active construction sites to verify compliance with project plans specifications and standards.

Document field observations quality checks photos and non-conformance items in a structured format.

Assist in schedule-related documentation including tracking progress validating field quantities and supporting Time Impact Analysis.

Coordinate with Project Managers Superintendents subcontractors and field teams to resolve quality issues.

Maintain accurate QC logs reports and electronic documentation.

Participate in site walks progress meetings and QC/scheduling review discussions.

Review and verify subcontractor work for adherence to quality expectations and project milestones.

Provide clear professional communication to internal teams and client representatives.

Travel frequently to project sites (70 90% travel required).
Mandatory Qualifications -
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management

3 5 years of experience in scheduling for civil construction projects
(exposure to field QC inspections or project coordination is strongly preferred)

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with teams leadership and client representatives.

Strong attention to detail documentation discipline and time management.

Demonstrated ability to analyze project delays and support Time Impact Analysis.

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents.

Comfortable working in active construction environments and traveling frequently.

Valid drivers license.
