Job Title: Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) Night Shift Job Type: Contract
Position Urgency: Normal
Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (rotating as needed)
Setting: Emergency Department Critical Access Hospital
Position Overview The Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) provides safe effective and patient- and family-centered care in a fast-paced emergency setting. This role requires strong clinical judgment excellent communication skills and the ability to function independently while collaborating closely with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities -
Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care in accordance with state nursing standards and facility policies.

Perform rapid patient assessments triage and interventions in emergent and high-acuity situations.

Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Maintain accurate timely documentation using the MedHost EMR system.

Communicate effectively with patients and families while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality.
-
Respond efficiently and calmly in emergency situations prioritizing patient safety and quality outcomes.

Support organizational mission vision and values in daily practice.
-
Participate in weekend and holiday coverage as required.
Required Qualifications -
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state or authorization to practice pending licensure by endorsement.

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Current BLS/BCLS certification required.

ACLS and PALS required within six (6) months of hire.

Strong assessment communication computer and documentation skills.

Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions under pressure.
