Principal Architect Digital Platform

Overview

Catalyst Brands is accelerating its digital transformation and seeks a Principal Architect to lead the strategy architecture and evolution of its digital platform ecosystem. This role combines platform architecture performance strategy and design DevOps transformation and AI innovation to build scalable secure and intelligent multi-tenant platforms that leverage AI for automation observability and optimization. Reporting to the Distinguished Architect this leader provides architectural direction across Catalyst Brands for digital commerce platform.

Key Responsibilities

Define and evolve the digital platform architecture aligned with business goals.
Architect multi-tenant cloud native API first and event driven platforms for scalability and resilience.
Lead DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices integrating automation observability and security.
Establish frameworks for AI driven insights predictive analytics and operational intelligence.
Define performance strategy and design principles ensuring scalability reliability and efficiency.
Oversee networking architecture including VPC design service mesh routing and secure connectivity across hybrid environments.
Collaborate with product engineering and security teams to align architecture goals and standards.
Provide thought leadership on site reliability optimization and cost efficiency.
Mentor technical architects and engineers to foster innovation collaboration and technical excellence.

Measurable improvements in scalability reliability and platform performance.
Increased automation observability and AI enabled operational intelligence.
Standardized architectural patterns drive consistency efficiency and resilience.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in computer science Engineering or a related field
Fifteen or more years of experience in software cloud or platform architecture leadership roles.
Expertise in multi-tenant distributed microservices based systems on AWS experience in Azure or GCP valued.
Strong proficiency in Kubernetes containers networking (VPCs service mesh load balancing) Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD.
Proven experience designing and governing high performance high traffic digital platforms.
Experience with AI machine learning and automation for intelligent operations and observability.
Familiarity with cloud networking security and cost optimization best practices.
AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional certification preferred.
