Were supporting a client on a mid-level Backend Engineer role within a large European tech platform operating at scale. This is a direct B2B contract with the client working on high-traffic consumer platforms used daily by millions.
Youll be joining a core engineering team that builds reliable scalable services at the heart of the platform. This isnt a feature factory your work will have a direct impact on how the platform performs scales and evolves.
Tasks
- Design develop and maintain backend services and APIs for high-traffic production systems.
- Work closely with other engineers to implement scalable reliable and maintainable systems.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers Product Analysts and other teams to integrate data-driven features and services.
- Continuously optimize backend components for performance scalability and security.
- Contribute to team tooling and automation (CI/CD testing monitoring).
- Take ownership of your work and proactively propose improvements across the stack.
Requirements
- 35 years of experience in backend or full-stack development ( / TypeScript preferred).
- Solid experience with APIs microservices serverless or event-driven architectures.
- Strong problem-solving skills curiosity and ability to work autonomously in a collaborative team.
- Good communication skills: ability to give and receive feedback and work cross-functionally.
- Nice to have: experience with cloud platforms (AWS) DevOps or data engineering.
