Job Title: Network Engineer
Location: Staunton VA 24401
Contract Duration: 04 months (possiblity of extension)
Work Mode: Onsite

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience in network design routing and switching as well as a deep understanding of network protocols security and troubleshooting. This role involves responding to Tier 1-3 support requests configuring new network hardware maintaining documentation and supporting efforts to improve cybersecurity.

Key Responsibilities:

Respond to Tier 1-3 network support requests providing clear communication to teammates and customers with varying technical expertise.
Resolve break/fix requests and troubleshoot network issues related to user resources and connections.
Design extensions of and connections to the campus network ensuring optimal performance.
Configure and deploy new/replacement network hardware and communication infrastructure.
Monitor network resources for faults traffic anomalies and other issues.
Maintain up-to-date network architecture project documentation and inventory records.
Maintain detailed records of network changes and provide support for troubleshooting and communications implementation.
Assist with cybersecurity efforts to improve controls threat hunting and mitigation.
Manage time effectively to meet project and resource constraints.

Required Skills & Experience:

5 years of experience with Cisco Routing and Switching VLAN management and network design.
5 years of experience with Access Control Lists (ACLs) subnetting and routing protocols (BGP OSPF etc.).
5 years of experience with authentication protocols (Radius TACACS etc.) and Cisco FMC/Firepower.
5 years of experience with DNS/DHCP VPN and remote access technologies.
3 years of experience with network monitoring and network security.

Desired Skills & Experience:

2 years of experience with wireless technologies.
