Job Summary

Location: Alexandria VA - Hybrid - 4 days/Week

Position 2: Payroll Manager Payroll

Resource to provide support for Payroll by providing review of the staffs execution of the payroll processes and related calculations to ensure accuracy reasonability and adherence to policies and CBA agreements

o Work with the payroll team on identifying processing errors and abnormalities to develop improvements in the financial processing of payroll
Update and revise where applicable and needed the processing playbooks/procedures related to Kronos time capture as well as the PeopleSoft and Oracle Fusions Time and Labor and Payroll modules
o Work with reporting team to develop analytical reporting and metrics to improve the payroll process inclusive of payroll related tickets entered into CA Service Desk Help Desk solutions
o Review and strength controls around the historical correction process
Document the historical correction process
o Track and review the execution of payroll processing ensuring that tasks executed are following proper procedures and policies
o Perform reviews via sampling of the information input into weekly and biweekly payroll processing to ensure accuracy and reasonability
o Review and test manual payroll related calculations for accuracy before input into the system for processing
o Skilled and knowledgeable in account analysis and reconciliations

o Familiar with the preparation and review of reconciliations including supporting documentation as well as review of reconciling items for appropriateness
o Resource must have a good working knowledge and experience with Kronos Timekeeping PeopleSoft and Oracle Fusion Payroll

Qualifications:

Requires a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience a bachelors degree and a CPP certification. Advanced degree is preferred.
Minimum of 2 years experience at a Payroll Manager level related to engagements for financial institutions real estate public and/or private sector Federal State or Local government or other specialized area defined by a task order.
