About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Associate or Special Counsel (5 years PQE) to join a highly regarded Real Estate team based in Melbourne. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with leading Partners and play a key role in delivering high-quality outcomes for a diverse and sophisticated client base.

You will support Partners across a broad range of real estate matters with a strong focus on leasing while also being exposed to complex transactions developments and strategic advisory work. This is a career-defining opportunity for an experienced real estate lawyer looking to deepen their expertise take on greater responsibility and contribute to a market-leading practice.

About You:

To thrive in this role you will bring:

  • A minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience with a solid background in leasing across a broad range of matters
  • Exceptional drafting skills and a strong attention to detail
  • Proven ability to build manage and maintain strong client relationships
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines within a team environment
  • Clear confident and professional communication skills both written and verbal

You will also enjoy working collaboratively mentoring junior lawyers and contributing positively to a high-performing team culture.

Your Work:

This role sits within one of Australias most respected and comprehensive real estate practices advising on a wide range of matters across the retail industrial and mixed-use sectors.

While leasing remains a core component of the practice-particularly in the retail space-the teams work extends well beyond this. You will be involved in:

  • Major real estate transactions and developments
  • Commercial retail and industrial leasing
  • Property development projects
  • Property management matters
  • Acquisitions and disposals of significant property assets

The team acts for leading institutional investors developers landlords and operators across Australia and supports more than 150 shopping centres nationwide. You will gain exposure to industry-leading clients and matters backed by deep sector knowledge and commercial insight.
