JOB TITLE: General Aircraft and Bench Test Mechanic - DEFENSE
LOCATION: Joint Base Lewis-McChord WA
PAY RATE: $47.78/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

Job Type: (3-year contract)
Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Person required).
Schedule: Full-Time
- Training: 6:00 AM 2:30 PM
- Once trained: 2:00 PM 10:30 PM (2nd Shift)
Overtime: Possible voluntary
Travel: Limited (San Antonio for training)

Summary:

Assemble disassemble modify and upgrade aerospace vehicle systems and components.
Troubleshoot complex pneumatic hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate and repair faults.
Configure aircraft and bench test equipment; perform validation and verification testing.
Inspect components and verify repairs to ensure flight-worthiness compliance.
Document repairs tests modifications and inspections per regulatory and contractual requirements.
Provide oversight and training as needed.

Requirements:

Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Person required).
High School diploma/GED with 4 years of related aerospace or mechanical experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Comfortable working at heights (ladders on aircraft harness use) and handling equipment.
