Key Responsibilities:
As an SAP eSPP Support Consultant youll be a key part of the aftermarket/service parts planning team. Your role involves analyzing business needs configuring and optimizing the SAP Service Parts Planning (SPP/eSPP) module and providing ongoing functional and technical support.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze requirements to define scope and support for SAP SPP/eSPP functionality
- Configure and customize the Planning Service Manager (PSM) to support native SPP services and process profiles
- Troubleshoot PSM triggering mechanisms and logs
- Manage Core Interface (CIF): maintain integration models monitor qRFC errors and implement BADI enhancements
- Apply forecasting models Distributed Requirements Planning (DRP) and Bill of Distribution (BOD) to optimize service inventory
- Enable tier-down stock allocation strategies balancing inventory across service networks
- Configure stocking decisions using service TSLs and sales demand inputs
- Handle materials planning elements like BOM EOQ safety stock reorder policies and planning horizons
- Manage schedule releases planned orders purchase requisitions and integrated PP modules
- Maintain ECC-specific BOMs alternate BOMs and routings
- Prepare and maintain documentation: configuration specs design artifacts lifecycle records
- Provide interface support with related modules (SD/MM/PP) and auxiliary SAP tools
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams deliver support during go-live and participate in enhancements.
Qualifications & Skills
Functional Expertise
- Strong background in SAP SPP/eSPP with hands-on experience in full cycle implementations or support
- In-depth knowledge of CIF DRP BOD forecasting PSM and Stock Allocation strategies
- Familiarity with BOM EOQ safety stock planning horizons release strategies and purchase requisition scheduling
Technical Proficiency
- Experience with qRFC monitoring BADI implementations and other SPP/ECC integration points
- Knowledge of adjacent modules: SD MM PP for end-to-end service supply processes
Professional Attributes
- Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting skills especially in supply chain and planning contexts
- Excellent communication skills: workshop facilitation stakeholder engagement and technical documentation
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional and distributed teams
Education & Experience
- Bachelors degree (Engineering Supply Chain IT or similar)
- 3 7 years of experience implementing or supporting SAP SPP/eSPP (or SPP) in aftermarket or service parts environments
- SAP certification in SPP SCM or related functional areas is a plus
Preferred Additional Qualifications
- Familiarity with methodological best practices in SAP Supply Chain (e.g. APO IBP)
- Exposure to SAP ECC SAP S/4HANA planning and integration
- Prior experience in aftermarket field service or inventory optimization projects
